Activities abound on the island of Bintan! Take a trip to the coastal fishing village of Tanjung Uban for a peek at the local’s way of life, or enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside to the bustling town of Tanjung Pinang, Bintan Island’s capital. Pulau Penyengat, an island on the southern tip of Bintan Island, offers heritage sites such as an old Dutch fort, royal mausoleums, ancient palaces and the Sultan of Riau’s Grand Mosque.
The Eco Farm Tour and Elephant Park are perfect for the little ones, and the adventurous may opt for the guided Mangrove Tour though the quiet waterways of Sebung River, or test your endurance in a trek through Bintan Island’s dense tropical rainforest on the Gunung Bintan Adventure Trek.
All tours are available for booking at Ria Bintan Golf Club’s reception.
Please be informed that all transactions on Bintan Island will be restricted to Indonesian Rupiah with effect from 1 July 2014, as per local government regulations.
Guests are reminded to carry sufficient Indonesian Rupiah or pay via credit cards during your stay. Money changing services are available at both ferry terminals in Singapore and Bintan.
